Red's Handyman's Corner shows a man more obsessed with getting the job done quickly and cheaply, and have his project stay together just long enough to be effective.I used to think that "The Red Green Show" was stupid, but as I watched more episodes I caught on to how great this show is. It really does a superb job of poking fun at the "male bonding" craze that was going on in the 1990's and the entirely male cast represent all sorts of hilarious stereotypes of manhood. They do it so well and it always makes me laugh. And hard at that, too. Steve Smith portrays Red Green, the leader of the Possum Lodge that's 135 beer stores away from Toronto. His mis-adventures mostly involve the goings-on in his lodge with real and fictionally members of his fraternity.

Handyman makes homemade canoe, kayak lift with help from Red Green

With money burning a hole in his pocket he heads to Jelloway and Mohican Hardware for lift supplies and project-saving condit. So I decided to go the DIY route. Most people would go online and look up YouTube videos on how to build canoe and kayak lifts; not me. For inspiration, I turned to my favorite handyman − Red Green. If you have to ask what the handyman’s number one secret weapon is, you need more Red Green in your life.

The Real Difference Between Purple, Red, and Green Grapes (It’s Not Just Color)

Registered dietitians and professional chefs break down the difference between purple, red, and green grapes—including whether one is actually healthier. Grapes are a popular and beloved fruit, and it’s easy to see why. Not only are the juicy orbs versatile and delicious, but they’re packed with health benefits, too. There are also several colors to choose from: purple, red, and green. This includes a generous amount of key nutrients like fiber, potassium, and vitamin A. Still, there are some differences between the types of grapes, especially in terms of flavor and best uses. Curious? Here, we compare purple, red, and green grapes, complete with insight from nutrition and culinary experts.Purple grapes aren’t just rich in color and flavor; they’re high in antioxidants, too. In fact, they have slightly more antioxidants than red and green grapes, according to Pasquariello. Most of these antioxidants are anthocyanins, a type of polyphenol known for its anti-inflammatory properties, she adds. This is mainly due to anthocyanins—which, again, provide anti-inflammatory properties and pigment. The flesh of red grapes also contains slightly less anthocyanins than purple varieties, though the difference is minimal. Additionally, “red and green grapes are nearly identical when it comes to total antioxidant content,” Pasquariello says.

Harold Green (Patrick McKenna) is Red Green's nephew and the producer and director of the fictional Red Green Show. Harold was sent to Possum Lodge to produce the show after Red's brother borrowed a large sum of money from Red and then lost his job. Harold is the quintessential nerd – he has a significant overbite, wears thick glasses, is very eager and sensitive, and he exhibits a number of unusual and socially awkward mannerisms.Harold is easily the most intelligent member of Possum Lodge, and as such he is often appalled by the behavior of the other Lodge members (and even Red himself), and he puts a lot of effort into trying to change everyone's behavior, usually with little to no success.Harold and Red spend much of their time on the show trading insults and poking fun at each other. While they have shown they can cooperate with one another at times, Harold is often critical of Red's ideas and schemes, even though he usually ends up going along with them anyway.Toward the start of the series, Harold's role seems more as like a straight man to Red, focusing mostly on the production of the show rather than on interacting with Red directly. Over time, however, he takes on more roles of his own, even substituting for Red in one of his Midlife segments "You're on your own.

Red chile, on the other hand, is fully ripened. The peppers are left to mature on the vine, turning deep red before being harvested.Green chile, especially Hatch green chile, a variety grown in the Hatch Valley of southern New Mexico, usually ranges from 1,000 to 10,000 Scoville Heat Units (SHU), similar to a mild-to-medium jalapeño. Red Hatch chile, which is simply the ripened version of the same pepper, tends to fall in a similar SHU range but is often perceived differently due to drying and rehydration, which concentrates the flavor and heat.So while both types fall in the mild to medium range, green chile delivers a sharper, brighter heat that hits fast and fades quickly. Red chile offers a deeper, more lingering burn that develops slowly, especially in sauce form.
